Security Engineer

I am currently recruiting for an Information Security Engineer on behalf of a global organisation based in Dublin. This position sits within the Data Protection team, focusing on Shadow IT risk management, governance, and enforcement.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain a Shadow IT blocking strategy framework for unapproved applications
• Define risk-based blocking criteria, scoring models, and decision thresholds
• Own enforcement, governance, and escalation processes across Shadow IT activity
• Ensure all decisions are clearly documented, including business justification and technical impact
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage risk, exceptions, and escalations

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in data security and governance
• Background in information security engineering
• Experience with risk assessment frameworks and policy enforcement
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and handle escalations
• Experience with SSPM, CASB, or DSPM is a plus
